SUMMER CAMP

Our summer schedule begins in the third week of June and ends in the third week of August. Our camp programs are for children 6 to 12 years of age. 

Camps daily program includes the following activities:

 

Creative Expression: Opportunities for children to express their creativity through art, music, crafts, dance, poetry, storytelling, and story writing.

 

Nature/Environment: Opportunities for the children to explore the world through their senses. Activities may include nature walks, visits to the Camden Aquarium, the Philadelphia Zoo, the Franklin Institute, and the beach. 

 

Life Skills/Food & Nutrition: Opportunities to learn about basic life skills and good nutrition. Activities include cooking, snack preparation, and field trips to farmers markets.

 

Games: Activities will include non competitive games and team sports. Opportunities for children to move and release energy.

 

Literacy: Opportunities for children to read and write. May include visits to local libraries, bookmaking, storytelling, and other activities combined with creative expression.

 

Choice Time: On a daily basis, children are given the opportunity to select activities of their choice.
