Why TYL II?
TYL II is a 4 Star Facility, the highest rating of Keystone STARS in the state of Pennsylvania. Keystone STARS is a program of Pennsylvania’s Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL). Keystone STARS has four primary goals:
-
To improve the quality of early care and education.
-
To support early care and education providers in meeting their quality improvement goals.
-
To recognize programs for continuous quality improvement and meeting higher quality standards.
-
To provide families a way to choose a quality early care and education program.
Our students come back! Graduates of our preschool program now send their own children to TYL II.
Numerous members of our staff have been working for TYL II for over 10 years.
This familial quality is what makes our school special.
We partner with numerous agencies for child care services. Among them are CCIS, DHS, PHL PreK, Pre-K Counts, and ELWYN.
Through these partnerships, families have a wealth of support and access to resources to aid in the development of their children.
TYL II hosts a clinical educational program with the University of Pennsylvania Pediatric Nurse Practitioner students. With parent consent, the nursing students work with children from September through December, providing developmental and vision screening.
Their efforts are invaluable because they focus on each child’s health and provide a wealth of health related information to families and TYL II staff. At the conclusion of the program, parents are provided a full report on their child, including their height and weight.
We serve hot nutritious meals cooked daily from our onsite commercial kitchen.
TYL II partners with Yummy Body Nutrition to provide healthy meal plans for the children.
